Volta eSIM is a travel connectivity platform designed to help users quickly find, purchase, and manage destination-based eSIM plans. The project focused on creating a clear, conversion-led website and authenticated user experience, combining destination search, reusable product templates, cashback rewards, referral systems, affiliate tools, and account management into one scalable digital platform.

Product thinking

The main challenge was designing a product that felt simple on the surface while supporting a fairly complex ecosystem behind it. Users needed to find a travel destination quickly, compare fixed data packages, understand how eSIMs work, and purchase without unnecessary steps. At the same time, the platform needed to support cashback, referrals, subscriptions, affiliate earnings, support flows, device compatibility, billing, and post-purchase eSIM management.

The UX approach was built around reducing decision fatigue. Instead of overwhelming users with too many plan types or generic travel content, the experience prioritised fast search, clear product pages, reusable templates, simple CTAs, and contextual guidance at the right moments. Each flow was designed to help users move from travel intent to purchase with confidence.

Personal Reflection

DPG reinforced how design shapes perception long before a client makes contact. Creating a premium experience wasn’t about adding more, it was about knowing what to remove. Every decision, from layout and motion to typography and imagery, was made to communicate confidence, craftsmanship, and trust, allowing the quality of Dapper’s work to take centre stage.
